Falling for 'Roids

Scenario

A 62 year old man with glioblastoma multiforme finished radiotherapy last week. His wife rings to say that he is unable to stand up today.

Tasks

  • List ways that a brain tumour patient can have difficulty standing (I can think of 4 ways off hand, you can do better!)
  • Describe the portion of the clinical examination that you would need to undertake to distinguish the causes.
